Vehicle Satellite Tracking - How It Works?
Vehicle Hardware
Each vehicle to be tracked is fitted with a GPS receiver, to provide accurate location data, Network communications modem to provide efficient use of the data network and a combined GPS/GPRS aerial.
The GPRS modem collects and stores vehicle activity data in regular timed intervals.
Operation
The collected activity data is communicated, in real time to the mapping package, which monitors and reports on the activities of your vehicle fleet. Vehicle activity data includes real time location information, ignition on/off times, speed, direction and distance travelled.
Monitoring
The AVLS package provides mapping data, messaging options, exception reporting, historic activity logs and more to help the fleet operator to monitor and report on the activities of your vehicle fleet, both in real time and historically.
Messaging
The system allows connectivity into a number of mobile data devices , which can provide low cost and secure two-way text messaging allowing fast and dependable communication to your fleet.
